JAMES CAMERON INTERVIEWS
The “TERMINATOR” script James Cameron gave me at the end of our interview.
In 1985 Japanese writer/editor Shinji Nakako and I interviewed James Cameron about his first success, “Terminator,” at the Mulholland Drive home he shared with producer, co-writer and wife Gail Anne Hurd. The interview was for a book Shinji published in Japan. I asked Cameron if he had an extra copy of the “Terminator” script, and he reached into a closet and grabbed one for me. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to ask him to autograph it for me.
2022 Update: With “Avatar: The Way of Water” about to hit movie theaters worldwide, our interview from long ago was translated into French! Play it again, Sam : James Cameron ou l’Esprit de suites (entretien inédit).

My thanks to my Starfix friend Frédéric Albert Levy for translating the original interview for Boojum.fr. Our credit appears at the very end.
I interviewed James Cameron and Gail Anne Herd a second time upon the release of “Aliens.” My interview appeared in Starfix, No 41, in October 1986.
